Residential Roofing in Northeast Indiana
Roofing is our primary service: replacement, repair, metal roofing, storm-related inspection, and long-term Roof Protection.
Residential Roofing Is the Core of What We Do
A residential roof is a complete water-shedding system. Shingles or metal are only the outer layer. The performance of the roof also depends on decking, underlayment, eave and rake details, flashing, valleys, wall intersections, penetrations, ventilation, ridge details, gutters, drainage, and installation quality.
That is why On Time Exteriors separates roofing into several different decisions instead of treating every homeowner like the same sales lead. Some roofs need a repair. Some have reached the point where replacement is the better investment. Some homeowners want to compare metal roofing. Others are calling after a storm and need the condition documented before deciding what to do.

Roof Replacement
Complete roof-system replacement when broad deterioration, age, or damage makes continued repair poor value.
Roof Repair
Focused correction of leaks, flashing, penetrations, missing shingles, and other localized problems.
Metal Roofing
A different long-term roofing system with different cost, detailing, appearance, and maintenance considerations.
What We Look at During a Roofing Evaluation
The visible roof covering is the beginning, not the end. We look at the roof’s age and surface condition, roof geometry, valleys, transitions, flashing, vents, pipe penetrations, chimneys where present, roof-to-wall details, visible drainage issues, and signs that ventilation or decking may deserve closer attention. Interior or attic information can also matter when there is a leak, condensation concern, or suspected ventilation problem.
Architectural Shingles Versus Metal
Architectural asphalt shingles remain a practical choice for many homes because they offer broad style selection and a lower upfront investment than many metal systems. Residential metal roofing can offer a longer-term option and a different aesthetic, but the system, panel profile, substrate, trim, flashing, fasteners, coatings, roof shape, and installer details all matter. We help homeowners compare the complete installed systems instead of relying on a single product claim.
What Makes a Roofing Proposal Useful?
A useful roofing proposal should tell the homeowner what is being removed, what roof system is being installed, which underlayment and edge details are included, how ventilation and flashing are being handled, what is assumed about decking, what cleanup is included, and what conditions could change the final price. A low number with a vague scope is not automatically a better roofing deal.
Roofing and the Rest of the Exterior
The roof does not operate independently from the rest of the house. Gutters receive the water coming off the roof. Siding and trim meet the roof at wall intersections. Windows and exterior wall systems depend on correct flashing and moisture management. When several components are being replaced, coordinating those details can produce a cleaner project and fewer handoffs.
Not Sure Which Roofing Service You Need?
That is fine. Start with the property and the problem. We can help determine whether the next step is repair, replacement, a storm inspection, or continued monitoring.
